The most important part of our Labor and Employment Group is helping employers to assess the credibility of accusations and complaints by conducting an impartial investigation. This helps us to provide proactive, protective counsel that enables our clients to avoid litigation.
At Liebler, Gonzalez & Portuondo, we conduct thorough and fair investigations for a definitive conculsion to an issue without a lawsuit. If the complaint is supported by the investigation, we work with our clients to determine the appropriate steps to correct the situation at hand. These steps may include discipline to end the conduct, such as:
- Counseling
- Written warning
- Demotion
- Termination
We will also help determine if any action is necessary toward the complainant.
If the complaint is not supported by the investigation, we offer advice about counseling one or more parties.
