Juan A. Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez heads the Firm’s Commercial and Complex Litigation Group. He concentrates his practice in complex commercial, real estate, bankruptcy and civil litigation, including class action defense, in both federal and state courts. He represents lenders, banking concerns, public and private corporations and other business entities in state, federal, multi-district and bankruptcy courts in matters involving secured and unsecured creditors’ claims, commercial foreclosures and construction lien enforcement, business liquidations, receiverships, asset recovery, pre-judgment remedies, enforcement of preferred ship mortgages, vessel seizures, enforcement of judgments in foreign jurisdictions, class action defense, lender liability defense, bank operation/deposit based litigation, lease litigation, premises liability and related indemnity litigation.

Federal banking agencies have also retained Mr. Gonzalez to investigate several institutional failures throughout the country. Those investigations involved exceedingly complex financial schemes and required a thorough knowledge of sophisticated banking transactions.
