Melissa D. Ramnauth is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department. She joined the Firm in 2014. She has extensive knowledge of federal and state lending and collection laws (the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.). She also has intricate experience with foreclosure law. She has worked on all work aspects of cases (including settlement, communications, discovery, pleadings, motions, and trial preparation). She has prior experience with worker’s compensation cases.
Melissa Ramnauth graduated in the top 25% of her law class. Her research and writing skills are strong as a result of being a Writing Dean’s Fellow, Articles and Comments Editor on the Inter-American Law Review, and law clerk. She also participated in the Bankruptcy Clinic.
