Jacob E. Mitrani

Mr. Jacob E. Mitrani is a Partner of the Firm and a member of the Litigation Department. Mr. Mitrani practices in the areas of general commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and has experience in all phases of litigation and arbitration, including bench and jury trials, in both state and federal court. Mr. Mitrani retains an active practice in both Florida and New York.

Representative Experience:
Mr. Mitrani’s experience includes:

Representation of financial institutions in complex contested residential foreclosures of real property and commercial foreclosures of real and personal property, including defense of counterclaims.

Representation of Plaintiffs and Defendants in a wide variety of real property litigation, including quiet title actions; declaratory and injuctive relief actions; partition actions; and lien priority disputes.

Representation of Plaintiffs and Defendants in cases involving breach of contract; business torts; civil conspiracy; and deceptive and unfair trade practices.

Representation of secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.

Representation of Defendants in bankruptcy adversary proceedings.

Representation of judgment creditors in collection matters, including enforcement of post-judgment remedies.

Representation of creditor-Defendants in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, and Telephone Consumer Protection Act cases.
