Richard Bec

Mr. Bec is an associate of the Firm and a member of the Litigation Department. He joined the Firm in 2008. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Bec worked for another Miami based firm where he concentrated his practice in the area of commercial litigation, general liability, landlord-tenant and condominium law. He also has experience in the areas of admiralty and real estate.

Mr. Bec graduated with honors from Florida International University in 2000, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. His academic success as an undergraduate garnered him an election to the Florida International University’s Honor Council and also to Pi Sigma Alpha, the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the United States.

In 2003, Mr. Bec earned his Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law. While attending law school, he was a semi-finalist in the 1L Moot Court Competition and his fellow students nominated for the law school’s Kurt Marmar Award for professionalism. Mr. Bec also was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and participated in the law school’s pro bono HOPE program. While interning for the Honorable Joel Brown, Mr. Bec received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Eleventh Judicial Circuit for his legal research.

A Miami native, Mr. Bec is an active member of the Florida Bar and speaks fluent Spanish.
