Miguel M. Cordano

 Mr. Cordano is a partner of the Firm and a member of the Litigation Department.  He joined the Firm in 2002.  Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Cordano worked for another Miami based firm where he concentrated his practice in real estate transactions.  Mr. Cordano’s practice encompasses the areas of banking, commercial litigation, civil and international litigation, secured lending transactions, and bankruptcy.  Mr. Cordano represents financial institutions and public and private entities in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts in matters involving enforcement of creditor's rights, commercial foreclosures and liability issues.  Mr. Cordano's practice also involves documenting complex commercial and real estate transactions. As part of his practice, Mr. Cordano works closely with the loan workout teams at various financial institutions and assists them with documenting workouts and minimizing unsecured debt exposure.

In 2000, Mr. Cordano earned his Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law.  While attending the law school’s tax clinic, Mr. Cordano  represented indigent taxpayers as a student-attorney before the United States Tax Court.  Mr. Cordano also served as Dean’s Fellow for the law school’s renowned International Business Law Program.    

A Miami resident, Mr. Cordano is an active member of the Florida Bar and the Dade County Bar Association.
